    Hey Michael, thx for that.
Which format should go into Avid? I have Prores 422 HQ and I could also export from FCP in Avid codecs; but which is the best to start out with in Avid to avoid jitter and dominance issues?
    Thx

    Hey Craig,
I have no problems with SxS. I have FCP version 6.06. I use ShotPut Pro to back up the BPAVs straight from the cards and 60 GB hard disk to two external drives (I use ShotPut instead of Clip Browser).
I then import to FCP using XDCam Transfer from inside FCP (are you saying this is bad practice?).

Not all the clips on the 60GB hard disk showed the NO CODEC error – only the first few, which I recorded on Day 1 – the rest that I recorded subsequently were fine.

    THx in advance,

Thx Don. I actually found the solution afterwards and it’s pretty newbie 🙁 Just had to use the joystick on top of the camera and toggle to the SHT:aut display on the screen and change it to shutter speed or shutter angle. That did it. My problem was that I’d never used the joystick to access the menu and accessing that setting didn’t work with the menu button and roller thingy. Thx again for your prompt assistance.
