definitely your GPU.
be happy when it works 🙂 used to be that Resolve wouldn’t even start on such a week graphic card
-
or better. make it work 🙂
both should work on your laptop (i see no reason otherwise)
its maybe a driver, version, OS thing.did you try installing Desktop Video (instead of ME) and checking if comp/resolve recognizes your device then?
-
yup. could very well be the problem.
i assume that picture is from the media pool?
go to preferences and remove empty/unwanted volumes
restart resolve, and check again.hector

few frames of the footage would greatly help giving you the best answer, (even one frame in tiff or dpx)
i corrected several underwater shoots and each had its own look/issueshere is a good basic workflow:
try the channel mixer while monitoring RGB parade.
you probably have a very strong blue or green channel (or both?) and a crushed red channel? how badly?try pushing in some red and reducing a bit of blue/green in the mixer
then, in the primary bars, use the channel offset to straighten/even the channels if one is too high low.you can restore quite a bit of info using the mixer and get a pretty balanced look (if that’s what you are after) with offset.
hope this helps.

Intensity I assume?
it should work.
how about this?
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/892453-REG/Blackmagic_Design_bdlkulsdzminrec_Ultrastudio_Mini_Recorder.html/prm/alsVwDtlshould also work
BM product page says PC/MAC -
can you repeat this problem?
ie. if you open a new project, bring media in save then close it and re open, will the clips be all black?
or does it only happen on certain projects? -
hey Ricardo
bit more info would help.
what’s the laptop model?
does it have USB3?Intensity is probably your only option into resolve… why won’t it work on laptop?
did you have any device in mind?
As far as I remember Resolve only supports Black Magic hardware for capture.
you can maybe capture to a different software ?hector

Hmmm… R3D @ 5K HDR with corrections and NR nodes on what debayer setting?
I guess it sounds (at least) like the edge of what a 3 year old Mac Pro can do these days.
I hate saying this, as I’m an avid mac user for years. No workstation solution or update from apple in 993 days… this is the longest they took. ever.
So unless something magical suddenly happens and a no-leaks-supper-new-surprising release is announced soon.
these cute little beasts are slowly (?) becoming living relics.Or… could your Mac Pro be one of these?
