Can anyone recomend a device)
I am currently using 12.5 resolve and a laptop

bit more info would help.
what’s the laptop model?
does it have USB3?Intensity is probably your only option into resolve… why won’t it work on laptop?
did you have any device in mind?
As far as I remember Resolve only supports Black Magic hardware for capture.
you can maybe capture to a different software ?hector

September 8, 2016 at 3:41 pmI read about but i am hesitant because its also bm and cant use as playback with resolve like the intensity should. I might give it a try if i can return it if it doesnt work.

September 8, 2016 at 3:57 pmor better. make it work 🙂
both should work on your laptop (i see no reason otherwise)
its maybe a driver, version, OS thing.did you try installing Desktop Video (instead of ME) and checking if comp/resolve recognizes your device then?
