Hi Steve,

Thanks for your quick reply. It seems as if no computer is capable of dealing with AVCHD in a truly fast way. However, my question is more along these lines:

If I install Sony Vegas 9.0 on a single core computer and try to load and edit an AVCHD file, will it even let me, or is a minimum of a dual core REQUIRED by the program?

Thank you so much. This is indeed the issue. I was previewing at AUTO not at FULL, and it certainly DOES change certain fx. You live and learn, I suppose.

Hi Mike. Thanks for replying.

I tried what you said; setting the preview to “best” quality. It looks identical to when the preview was set to “preview” quality, and still renders incorrect.

Any other explanations?
