As the roadmap says, they want to get a Mac and Linus version at the end of this year. In the meantime I will get familiar to this software. I just checked it a little bit and its amazing fast and the trim tool is outstanding.

Maybe we should also take a look on lightworks. well, it’s in the beta phase but the roadmap sounds pretty good. and it has got many pro features.

I may be wrong, but isn’t the “splice in” mode in AVID almost the same like the “magnetic timeline” in FCPX?

It’s little bit like splice in mode in avid, nothing new and “revolutionary”.
