    Thanks Ann.

Can you be more specific. I mean I am fairly new to this, where to choose the template from? Is it when I create a new project in PP?

Will it strecht my footage or will it just create the widescreen bars?

And also can I make my DV footage in a 16:9 format?

    Hi Jon

What exactly do you mean by “Dynamic Link it to PPro manually.”??

Well I guess If I can make multiple clips I Captured in PPro, from there I can “replace with after effect” so that I can make all the edit in AE and the effects should appaer in PPro.

what is the best aproach if I shoot multiple shots and I want to edit them toghether in AE and still have use of the dynamic link??

P.S When you are finished and save both in PPro and AE. Is there a specific way to close down the application without having issues with the other because of the dynamic link?

By the way Jon. This may be a stupid question. But does it work the same way around? I mean if I have multiple AVI clips and I start a project/new comp in AE, and I after all my editing I want to get it to PPro, can i do the same thing with the replace clips option??

Yes Yes yes!!! Thank you so much Jon. It finally worked, just as you said it.

Replace clips instead of opening project in AE. But I dont understand I followed the tutorial which someone in this forum posted to me.!?

Anyway I am so happy. Would any effect I apply in AE appear out in PPro when I eksport it?? I mean, can PPro handle all AE effects, animations etc.?

By the way, to see the interlace issue again, I need my green screen, so I will try it out tomorrom or the next day. I just shot a clip of my self and applied some lightning effect comming out of my hands and back in PPro I eksported it as AVI and here there was no interlace to see. Also this clip is dark, I dont know if that have something to say about it.

I will get back to you on that if thats ok with you J?

I know maybe the words dont mean much to you, but thank you so much again, you have really saved me time and anger management 🙂

    Hi Jon.

Did you see he video? Yes I opened the file in AE as a project. Just like the dynamic link tutorial.
I can´t seem to figure out what I am doing wrong.. But when I manually copy the clip in AE and paste it in the PPro timeline, a dynamic link is created, but the changes I make in AE still doesent reflect in PPro.Even when I eksport the file.

Thanks a lot regarding the interlace tip.I did as you describe. My clip on the project panel I selected the “interpret footage” and the value was set to off. So I choosed Lower field fir DV and I checked the preserve edges box. Then I dragged the clip down to the timeline panel and went to a frame to see if there was some changes made. Im affraid the interlace is still there. Do I have to render it first to see the changes??

    Thanks so much Jon.

Thanks so much Vince and Jon.

Please take 2 min of your time to see the video file I created with camtasia. I show you my approch and get to the part where I get my error reading “Adobe After Effect Dynamic Link Server is busy. Dynamic link is only supported in one direction per session”
    Link to video
    56_help.swf.zip

After this video. I think you can see what I am doing wrong.

I really hope vince/jon or someone will watch and advice. I will try your strageti jon.

P.S Thanks Vince on the cam info. I tried to eksport my footage with the allow interlaced field unchecked and checked. Both of them came out with same result. Still interlace lines there. What to do here?? Still interlace…

P.P.S The video is in swf format, if anyone wishes to see it in another format please let me know.

    Ok..

Please advise on this picture… Why do I get this output after I have edited in AE CS4 and used dynamic link. My settings in both projects are the same, 720p frame. 29 fps etc.

    whatisthis.jpg

This image is what I get when I open PPro.

Please help.. Have anyone see this before??

    Hi Vince.
    Thanks for your reply.

Ok, I am going for the web option. so as you say this option is availeable in PPro CS4, so I wanna try it out, even if I loose some resolution, I saved it to go back.
So in the eksport menu in the video bar, there is an unchecked field with the text ” Allow interlaced processing ” Should I check this to remove my lines??

In the future if I make clips and if I want to avoid interlaceing, I should get another cam? Can you recommend any cheap DV cams??

    Thanks a lot.
