December 11, 2014 at 3:40 am in reply to: unbeliavable flickering bug in CC2014I am not using shadows/highlights effect. The flickering is random and may happen anywhere in a project. It’s a MAJOR bug which makes delivering a project a road through hell.

I am having this issue on every computer in my company. What is worth mentioning we have Magic Bullet installed on them. Maybe this is the cause of all of this. Do you have Mabic Bullet installed?

November 22, 2014 at 12:54 pm in reply to: PP CC 2014 – adjustment layers flickering problemNo explanation, no solution so far. Adobe is just adding more and more features but they should fix these bugs in the first line!

November 21, 2014 at 7:12 am in reply to: unbeliavable flickering bug in CC20141. I have this issue regardless the media type. I am working with Canon 5D footage as well as DNxHD files from Sony F1 camcorders.
2. I am exporting mostly H264 and DNxHD files. The flicker is occuring in both cases.
3. Turning off GPU doesn’t help.
4. The most risky is adjustment layer. But it happens when using levels, color balance, three way color, lighting effects, Magic Bullet Looks etc straight on clips.
5. The media is on HDD connected via USB3.
Here are some examples of discussions on this MAJOR Adobe bug:

We are really thinking about rolling back to Adobe CS6 unless somebody finally gives us efficient solution.

October 30, 2014 at 6:28 am in reply to: Media Encoder Background Rendering – what a dissapointmentI deliver 23 minute episodes for broadcast. What I noticed rendering in Media Encoder from CC 2014 (built 81) takes 3 times longer. What’s more it sometimes stops at the end of rendering. I wouldn’t use Media Encoder for rendering, just do it within NLE. And I won’t write about other bugs that make working with CC 2014 a nightmare. Guys… stop adding more features. Fix the bugs or people will just leave this ship soon.

For me the audio issue is a total disaster and if somebody doesn’t fix it soon, I will have to switch my four workstations to some other system.

The thing is the codec doesn’t matter. Rendering to other codecs results in the same flickering problem.

I dont’t use it neither on my desktop. However sometimes I would like to use my laptop during trips.

Will DNxHD proxies work faster and smoother? Will they work well on older laptop?
Can I convert HD footage to SD proxies and then easely relink them to original HD footage? Will Adobe Premiere resize the footage automatically?
What codec would you use for such proxies? Would you recommend Avid DV?
