When I worked with mpeg2 I used Womble. Great software that allows to edit particular frames or swap audio without recompression. Now, I work with DNxHD and the things ain’t so easy.

Don’t you know any other software that could do this? I am delivering big (20GB) HD episodes in DNxHD and sometimes I got to do small corrections. It is extremely annoying to render the whole project once again only to change a few frames or audio.

Hello Ty,

I dont use Mac. I am working with Vegas and Sound Forge.

My tv station requires dbfs not to exceed -10dbfs and 0VU, however the
average VU should be around -4VU.

I d like to see the peaks of these two meters and for example average values without having to go through the whole audio by myself.

I had the same problem but it isnt just the case of Vegas. Basically interlaced footage can’t be scaled because there is something going wrong with half fields. In order to do it you should deinterlace the footage (blend or interpolate fields) and then scale it.

Yes, Avisynth should be the right direction.. But the main problem is my master files for TV are DNxHD and Avisynth doesn’t import these files..
