Adcom’s NightSuite did. Had multiple buffers so you could keep multiple copied whatevers to expedite things by just using a designated f key. They called em macros and it did indeed speed things up a lot. I was sad to see them go.
You may remember MC2. Same kind of thing, as did Sony’s DS before Avid dumbed it down.
I have found when an artist tries to follow others’ work, that is exactly what they do. I have likewise found nobody wants to buy that and seek artists who create new visions for them. I know no better way to limit ones self than to aspire to be like someone else.

Either one loves it to a point they have never and would never question their field or they make way for those who do. If it feels like a job, man their are far more lucrative jobs to dislike out there.
I always ask. If I don’t know the person personally, I contact their handlers and explain what it is I am making. If that doesn’t work, I utilize images they or theirs uploaded, relieving my company of any legalities.
Any company that puts a student in charge of building their department is not a company that plans to be in business long. Go through the motions but pay close attention and ensure they owe you nothing week to week.
I send an email with “can ya bang this out for 250 bucks?” and wait for a file within the hour.
