Playback rate seems very logical but what I’m noticing is that it doesn’t change the actual length of the clip. It plays slower, but the playback is truncated once it reaches the original end of the clip.

I tried this with a playback number greater than 1 (say 5) and not only did the clip remain the same length, it just repeated the sequence 5 times within the clip length.

But I like your Trimmer idea. I think that could work. But doesn’t this seem like a major Vegas weakness? My understanding is other NLEs allow you to enter in a numerical percent and the length of the clip expands/contracts to match.
