I’m encouraged by this, but curious how versioning will behave when Premiere hits one of its many updates: will we have to go in and update each project in a Production individually, or will opening a Production in the new version take care of that for us?

This is a HUGE pet peeve of mine!

I cannot STAND to see those crappy dissolves on-air, and unchecking “Composite in Linear Color” is the first thing I do when I create a sequence. Only wish there was some way to make it the default.

It does affect the density of drop shadows, and probably messes with other soft compositing, but I -have- to be able to make a decent dissolve!

I’m having the same command-click problems with the 6.3.18-4 driver, so I went back to 6.3.8-2. Still buggy, but I was USED to those bugs. Although now I’m seeing some weirdness when I click on a timeline title tab — the tab wants to stick to the cursor and get dragged around.

Monoprice sells tablets — anyone have experience with those?

One option I’d like to add, Jeff, is “Andy’s Elastic Aspect”, a free plug-in that’s now part of FxFactory.

It stretches the sides of the image while leaving the center relatively untouched — handy for certain things, useless for others.
Plus, you can adjust how much gets stretched and where the “center” region is.

Certainly could save a round trip to After Effects!

  • Hey – Try trashing your preferences (I used the Digital Rebellion app). It just now worked for me.

  • same problem here — running 2015.3 and 10.11.5 on a MacPro, using a Wacom Intuos tablet. Just started happening. Frustrating as hell.

  • That’s a tough one! Instead of replacing part of a flag you might be better off covering up the existing flag with a whole new one, say, using Zaxwerks’ 3d Flag plugin and tracking it into the scene.

Filmimpact.net makes a transition effect called Impact Push that I use a lot. Drop it between two clips, select the direction and amount of motion blur, set the duration and off you go.

It doesn’t have to be transparent video, either. I usually use a Matte Color clip and make it red so I can spot any leftover pieces I may have left on the timeline.
