yes.

If you have a fast computer (i.e., at least 32 gigs ram, newer CPU, GPU and a fast drive/raid) then you’ll have no issues playing any format. If your computer is a bit on the older side you may need to transcode to pro-res or another format.

That’s my number 1 complaint against it. I like Frame.io alot and use it alot but they are incredibly tight with their storage and that makes for a very challenging work environment.

I just exported a tv show for a local channel today and the encoder preset I used to make the master for them was a custom preset that the station sent me.

I love the idea of custom presets for all delivery.

A big maybe. So far there’s no viable argument for any resolution higher than 4k in regards to image quality and the human eye being able to detect a difference and even 4k is a long way from being adopted as the default broadcast format.

The common denominator between both of your systems is the AJA. And so I’d place a guess that there’s a compatibility issue or bug with AJA in relation to Premiere Pro.

I say that because I’m using CC2017 and find it to be virtually bug free. But I also don’t have an AJA in my loop.

If you move the Lumetri to a different folder inside of the lut folder in the Adobe Premiere settings does the glitch still appear?

Sounds like a good approach. I would advocate that you buy a raid with twice as much storage as you think you’ll need so that you’re set for awhile. And when transferring media over to another drive or raid I’d also advocate that you use a sync program to make sure that you’ve made perfect copies. I use Resilio but there are many sync programs out there. And having audio and video together on a drive is the norm.

My approach is to make each timeline a finished timeline with all elements included in it.

Just the opposite is actually true. The business has made huge technological changes. When I began in the business I was creating tv show masters on 2 inch tape and delivering BetaSP or Digibeta to networks and all of this process occurred on a massive switcher/edit system. I now deliver tv show masters from my PC as a digital file uploaded to the web in 20mins.
