Audio output in Premiere is partly determined by your Premiere preferences. Go to Premiere prefs and select Audio Hardware. Then choose your default audio output. Then make sure your computer audio output selection matches what you set in Premiere.

Open the settings wrench in the source viewer and select multi cam and then all of your angles will appear in the source window.

Premiere is quite different from FCPX so I’d recommend that you watch some tutorials to get up to speed.

Track matting is best done in AE and not Premiere. Changing the audio pitch is easy. Dedicate one audio track to the voice you want to adjust and then add global track audio effects.

I agree 100%. The percentage of people who have a natural affinity for video production roles is miniscule. The 10,000 hours rule holds true for virtually everyone with every activity.

People who are very good at what they do didn’t start out being great. It required thousands of hours of practice to develop their skills.

There’s no need to have the proxies connected. Do the edit with the proxies and when you’re ready to finish swap out for the high res. It doesn’t answer the question why you’re having issues but it allows you to work.

The Pond5 app is a nice feature. The only restriction is that you can only use the app with your own Pond5 account.

If you use a client’s pond5 account to purchase stock then you can’t make use of the features of the app.

If you’re planning on single cam dissolves (dissolving one cam angle to another cam angle) then you could just duplicate your multicam sequence onto a second layer, select an angle for each layer and make dissolves.

I second using Puget Systems to figure out good options. If you’re doing the finishing work for your projects you’ll need a powerful computer that can handle the extra processing needs of 4k media.

One way of assessing your needs is to quantify what your time is worth. Putting more money up front into a new system that can handle 4k will lead to time-saving throughout a project.
