Good to hear I’m not the only one pining for this. I just meant that I can import my native XDCam files into FCP with no transcoding, and have it play back/edit in realtime at full resolution. So, is the problem the fact that M100 can’t deal with the 1440×1080 resolution versus the 1920×1080 res? Or is it a decoding issue? Just trying to understand where the limitation is.

I can confirm that SMIQuickTimeExportComponent.component causes many issues with the export process in Media100 of old and new. It gets installed with Sorenson Squeeze. I have passed this info along to the support guys, but I don’t know of a resolution other than to remove it from the QT folder.

I do a lot of XDCam-HD transfers as well, and no problems with the process. I’m running the XDCAM Transfer version 2.12 if that makes a difference. (Also suite 1.6.2)

I’m on Snow 10.6.3 and Suite 1.6, and I’m importing XDCAM-HD footage OK via XDCAM Transfer.

    The footage is 23.98Psf though.

Update- Found a way around the problem by taking the Color XML file into FCP and then creating a new XML out of FCP. Everything updated correctly in Media100 from there.

I suspect that the cause of the issue was an instance of DVCPro HD codec in the timeline. When that was removed, everything went through round trip as it was supposed to.

Sorry guys, I’m probably not explaining it correctly. I’m on Suite 1.5.1 and the ‘apply colorFX to selected clips’ side is definitely working on my system. What effects are you applying? I would like to try to duplicate it to confirm whether it’s working or not on my system.

This works with applying effects and colorFX.

Select all the clips in the timeline including the one with the effect your wanting to propagate. Double click on the clip with the effect. Then choose apply effect or color fx from the tools pull down menu.

    That should be it.
