All of these slides have small number figures and thin lines. They also tend to vibrate on screen. Basically they are sales charts with fine print small headings. Many have red lines which seem to bleed on screen. Any further suggestions? Should I have the client create these with thicjer lines? There’s going to be about 30 of them. Yikes!

What about G technology SATA drives like this one. http://www.g-technology.com/products/G-SATA.cfm

What if I combined this with the Tempo-X eSATA 4+4. sonnettech.com/product/tempo-x_esata44.html Would this be the best solution?

    Thanks.

I’ve had experience with BZ rights. https://www.bzrights.com

They have always been quite helpful. Expect to pay them for researching a song, althought they may have an idea on a ballpark number.

January 16, 2006 at 5:14 pm in reply to: Best way to save current project

    Hi Matt,

I’ve copied the media file to my firewire drive. I’m not sure how to save the Project, Program & Bin files to my internal hard drive. It looks like it does that automatically. For example, whenever I hit open fle on Media 100, a list of documents open and I see all of the bin and program documents.

So all I really need to do is copy the media files back to the SCSI and everything will relink to the right bins, etc? Will my program just play? Thanks.

As a M100 editor who also does some work on FCP, the thing that bothers me with FCP is that you can’t see a simple dissolve without rendering in FCP. You can’t create a nice lower third title in FCP without rendering. Often, my titles in M100 with Boris Graffiti do not need rendering when outputting to tape. Also, can you preview a dissolve or title before rendering in FCP? All of this rendering and re-rendering is very frustrating. Am I wrong about this ttuff??

Thanks Floh…Sorry for the dumb questions, It’s just that I’ve put so many hours into this project that I don’t want to screw it up now. Thanks for your patience.

  • The only thing you may should have done was mail all your invoices and agreements by certified mail. If they did not respond to an email, they may claim that they never received it.

Other than that…I would say “SEE YA IN COURT” I’m no lawyer, but you should find out the maximum you can sue for in small claims court. You should really contact an attorney to figure out what things will cost you and what you should expect to happen. Then make your decision

    Good luck

    Floh,

Do you mean to say that I can buy something like a Ultra16 500GB Hard Drive
7200RPM, Internal, SATA/300 and I can edit with this? Don’t I need to have something with 10,000RPM speed?

Are you suggesting I get rid of my SCSI drives and just go with these drives?

Also, since I can’t go back and forth between M100i and SW, would I need to finish my project on SW?

    Thanks.
