I’m getting very similar behavior from Premiere Pro and Media Encoder. Freezing, locking things up, and can’t shut down the computer. Although for me it’s usually when I try to quit Premiere Pro, the screen goes away, but it never actually shuts down. I get the same message about PPro canceling shutdown. Force quit does not really do much. Have you reported this to Adobe? It might be a good idea to go to tech support (I’ve used the chat option) and let them know what’s going on so they can make an update to fix the problem. They told me to just uninstall and reinstall the software, but that didn’t help. For the time being, I wouldn’t start any new projects in CC2014 and just use a previous version if you have one.

Ok, I feel dumb. I figured it out. In case anyone else finds they have this same problem, here’s what I found worked for me. Instead of trying to grab hold of actual marker half and moving that around, I grabbed the white vertical line on the waveform and moved that where I wanted it to go – easypeasy.

I’ve noticed that as well with video tracks. I haven’t been able to find a solution other than delete the transition, roll edit, add a new transition, which is a pain. Strange thing is I don’t recall it always being like this??

  • Well if you want the moving 3D globe like that motion isn’t the right app. You’ll need something like Maya, 3ds max, blender…

Shouldn’t the other part of the spanned file be on the other P2 card? I thought that’s how it worked – you have two cards while you’re recording, you fill one, the recording doesn’t stop, but continues on the second card. Then using shot put pro for example, you ingest the data from both cards. Next, you go to say FCP 7 and do a log and transfer. You select the folders created by shot put pro – both of them. Once you begin the transfer, it recognizes both parts of the spanned file and creates one clip that you’ll find in the browser.
If you don’t have access to the other card – or at least it’s data, I’m not sure what you would do to get the other part of the spanned file. You might just be out of luck.

I think he means color bit depth, not app bit rate maybe?

  • Well, I’m not sure what you mean by small square division. But if you are in FCP 7 or under, when audio tracks go white, in my experience that means your source files have been disconnected from the project. Ctrl + click or rt click on the white file, then in the popup menu choose reconnect media. Then it’s just a matter of navigating to your files and reconnecting them. I hope that works for you.

  • Check your duration. Been a while since i used motion, but if i remember correctly, it goes back to 0 when you make that switch.

When you’re using syncro scan, it’s only in degrees. It’s either or – but not both. Here’s an interesting thread that might help:
