[John Perez] “It’s blurry on the timeline AND the render.”

Hmm…? Sounds like you’ve increased the size of the GenMed Media and you’ve lost the Sharpness. Is that possible?

[george fana] “I want to make a video clip at 24 frames but my shots were made at 30 frames. “

Hi George! I’ve gotta ask, why?

What version of VP and Build? What Media are you using? BTW, and looking at your other blurry thread, you may have to do a bit more than adding more RAM?

Hi John! At what point in your workflow does it go burry? Preview or post render?

Good to see you back here!

[Yeray Rodríguez] “Anyway… what does “resampling” option do?”

Here’s one of many conversations on the matter :

Granted, as the Framerates were multiples of the other, but yes, I did have a problem once getting into colour grading and temporal-dependant Noise Reduction and MOCHA Pro. But yours are more severe. Do a search on the matter and you’ll garner much hard won experiences.

    Good luck!

January 27, 2020 at 9:57 am in reply to: VEGAS PRO 14: Problem with variable frame rate

    [Yeray Rodríguez] “Too many questions?”

Nope. But maybe there COULD be too many answers! I’ll try and keep it simple and apply my own anecdotal experience. It’s tricky.

I recently came back from Amsterdam, having shoot both 29.xx and 59.xx. I wanted the cadence from 59.xx and to apply slomo. So far so good. OK, once at the VP Timeline I got myself into a real pickle and decided to hit a majority of the 29 with a 59 render. Under my circumstances I also made sure I had deselected Resampling.

This combo of Framerates and then VFR can be a real nightmare, especially once you get started with FX-ing or Speed Ramps, the wheels start falling off. My advice, is to experiment with your local footage. Keep in minded the final delivery formats too, oh yes….

I apologise if my answers appear too flimsy, but it’s the best I can do. Others may have a better direct Route1 to this.

[Yeray Rodríguez] “But I read that I shouldn´t do that, that i should convert all the videos to constant frame rate with handbrake. Could anyone help me? “

Hi Yeray! What is your question? Is it how to use HandBrake or “why” should you be doing it anyway?

January 26, 2020 at 7:24 am in reply to: Vegas Pro Presets Override

[Rayan Hashmi] “Is there anything I can do or is this just unfixable.”

No, this is how VP works with Preset Packs. But, all is not lost. Apply Preset Pack A to your Event. Then add Preset Pack B to a Dummy Event. Copy the Event B and then select Event A and Go > Paste >Paste Attributes. You should now have both sets of Prefix Packs on your Event. Now, save this combined Chain to a new Prefix Package called ”ComboAB” or whatever you wish ????. You’ve now got a Combo Prefects Pack to apply where ever you wish!

If there is a Keystroke that will override this issue, I’m willing and eager to learn.
