John Rofrano has a beat marker method. I use my finger and tap the M key. Another way, a more elegant way is to use Vegas Timeline Tools from Gary James which has Marker to Beat Tool and allows the user to alter the Frequency, the spread of that frequency and frequency appearance of that beat.
