    Hi JJ, thanks for the info. I’ve seen Titles 1 & 2 where Andrew uses CC Particle World for creating the moving dots or stars but it’s the pentagons (5 sided polygons)that move slowley in the background I’m trying to create. I think you are correct in saying he used a particle system but I don’t think it was CC PW as it doesn’t let you create the pentagons. I believe it may be the Trapcode plug-in, Particular.

    Thank you, I really appreciate the response. I’ve had a play with the shape tool and have tried using Trapcode Particular but it just doesn’t look the same. Being new to this site how would I ask Andrew direct?

    Thanks, I understand the use of a particle system to generate the dots or stars … it’s the slow moving polygons that appear to be in 3D space that I can’t figure out. They look almost like lense flares.

    Also I’m not sure why this post has been moved from After Effects to the Apple Final Cut Pro Basic forum.
