Hang on guys, the only reason I’m doing it is as I am working for free on this project. When shooting a low budget short, there are a million things money needs to go to before it would end up in a colorists hands (hope I don’t crush any egos here).

‘Peace of mind’, don’t think I haven’t said the same thing when it comes to cinematography as well.

Thanks all, wish there was Apple Color still. Only need to grade once in a while, don’t wish to fork out $ for the odd occasion to do so. 🙁

Thanks for that, I just read it actually.

Is there a work around, work on the grade element at a lower res, but export out as a pro res? Trying to research this presently too.

For starters, why does it play normally as a m2v file and in the simulation mode, but not after it has been authored? It also plays normally when I open the HVDVD_TS folder directly off the HD with dvd player.

So to me that tells me that the actual disk can’t support the format, but it does, as I have burned the m2v file directly to the disk and played off it without dramas.

Is my mac fast enough? Mac book pro 2.2 GHz Intel Core Duo.
