I have the same issue. I have an installation of VP13 on a desktop AND on a laptop, just as the license allows. On the laptop the h264 files open just fine and play from the Vegas timeline, on the desktop they will not. However, when on VP12 these same h264 files played fine on either machine.

So, what am I missing?

note: The obvious, “convert your files” answer doesn’t come remotely close to addressing the question. I have about 35 hours with of videos (45 to 90 minutes long each) to put open and close sequences on and re-render.
