Both monitors are connected with HDMI cables. It turns out it may be the card is bad. EVGA had me a run their utility and do a stress test. As soon as the card hit 85C the error comes up. It doesn’t happen with generic VGA drivers. They said with VGA drivers it’s basically a pass-through for video but the NVIDIA drivers detect stuff like that and time out. They said the card shouldn’t be overheating and go more than 75C. They are sending me a new one under warranty so hopefully that takes care of the issue.

I know. It’s weird. I do have Red Giant Software plugins but have had them since last year and there has been no changes to them. I also don’t have any video effects applied to any of the clips or project that’s crashing.
I’ll reset the workspace though it is currently set to the default. I haven’t tried AE or Photoshop though I don’t use them much. I have 2 other programs that use CUDA hardware rendering and they work fine. It just seems to be an Adobe issue. Someone said that there was an issue with NVIDIA drivers above version 320… I’m going to go back to a 314 driver from March and try that. The last 3 drivers that I happen to try were all in the 320s.
