I have the same issue. Mine is little more complicated though. Okay it sounds crazy but I edited an hour show using the entire footage coming out of Canon HG 10 AVCHD camera. Then I export the timeline as a QT movie file with the settings at 1920X1080 30p DVCPRO HD and ended up with 1 hr 40 GB QT file. It looks great on my 24 inch LCD. Then I made a DVD out of it. IT looked great. No jitter lines nothing.
Then I was asked to air this on a TV channel. My producer bought a Sony HVRM15AU to put this footage on an either DVCAM or HDV format.
What do I do? I guess I need to put the QT file on the final cut 6 on an HDV 1080i timeline (thats what the TV channel wants. 1080i) and render it. Then I print to video this footage on an HDV tape. Would it solve the problem? I never done this before and I have about two weeks left. The deck will arive tomorrow and I need to figre out a way to do this right. IT seems like I will be doing this again.
Should I bring AVCHD on an AIC timeline then export it out to 1920X1080 60i deinterlaced then print to tape? Should I stick with HDV instead of DVCAM output? What do you all think? Thanks.
