I do work with cs4 and I didn’t see the confirm to timline icon but I do have the automate to sequence icon wich Prety much helps,thanks for remind me.

If the matrox will work like he worked for on cs3 when I edit dv format, so i Don’t need any 3rd party softwears because the matrox comes with it’s own set of video effects and i know how to do with presets by heart,the question is if I can still use now that I’m working with HD? and like I said our studio’s camera shoots only 1440 by 1080i and i remember someone mentioned that thats the highest HD format matrox rtx.2 can work with,so I won’t to know if I can still ride this card untile we decide the next upgrade in our studio?

I’v started to edit HD footage and I’m running cs4 on a prety strong pc, I’m editing 1440 by 1080 footage,and it has a problem playing realtime when I’m using video effects trough a 3rd party softwears,such as boris bcc and new blue,it plays very slow and even get stuck.I have a matrox rtx.2 card that I didn’t install on my pc,shall I use it? or it will be better if I’ll upgrade to cs5 and the mecury engine will work better(altough my video card is quadro fx 1800)? please help me I’v got to use effects in my line of work,any ideas what do I do?

My motherboard is ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard ,so except the card u mentioned do u think there is somthing else i can use,because the price is a little bit out of my budget.thanks, Gil.

Thank u for your respond,so my next question is how to output a dv format in the highest resolution so if people will watch it on lcd’s they won’t get a vcr quality? I’m in the weddings industry and an average movie is 3.5 to 4 hours,we use to give them 4 dvd’s but they started to complain about the amount of cd’s,and we trying to save in the amount of ink and media that we spend for each movie,in average we give a client 7 copies that mean 28 dvd’s that we need to burn and print,and we were happy from the results that came out from the DL, BUT WE GOT STUCK WITH THE DUPLICATION.THANKS AGAIN,GIL.

I think the right way to describe my problem is that the real time engine dosn’t work properly,for example if lets say i to fast motion a clip to 500% and ad the posterize time effect i see a black fram when i play it even after i renderd the clip the same with slow motion and all the things i listed in my first post,it feels like somthing is not working properly, the timleline jitters,stuff that with my old comuter and the rtx.100 i didn’t have,i wanted to upgrade but all I get is a machin that dosn’t work fluently.

I’m using this drive Hitachi Deskstar 1TB Hard Drive 7200rpm, 32MB Cache, SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5″ Internal Hard Drive,for the captured video,I’m not using any captur card like matrox or so,and I’m working on standard ntsc dv format.
