I guess a better workflow would be to name the “takes” via their property window.

Can you suggest/recommend a better technique to name/organize footage on the timeline when doing a documentary style project?

but I can’t count on doing a reboot every time I need to render to give a file to a client. Way too inefficient.

There must be more info on this issue…

Hey everyone,

I rendered (svp 11) using the mainconcept mp4 format. It looked good at my end but when I sent it to my client, the audio/video is out of sync!

encoding in wmv works fine, no sync problem.

I want to deliver this in mp4. What in the world is causing this? how can I resolve it?

I also had this problem.

Although I wish I know what caused it, I resovled it by using the Main Concept MP4 template.

Can anyone shed some light as to why the Sony mp4 is causing a sync problem?

I hired Tom as a second camera op a couple of weeks ago… small world.

@Bob: Thanks for your input. In the clip provided by Mike, he used the masking technique to blur the background.

By the way, can I select a color/color-range and brighten only that?

Yes that would have been challenging. You did a great job with the sound too. No bleeding of extraneous noise.

Just tried Color curves… yes, much better! thank you!

Thanks for posting the video. Great job. The bg blurring is very effective, I can tell that it would have been distracting indeed if it were in focus.

The interview is Canadian… where are you located?

Thanks Mike/Angelo. It appears to be working and improving the shot.

The only minor issue is when the talking head moves a bit and she moves “out of the mask”. This leaves a noticeable “brighter cutout”.

By the way, which plugin do you find the best to brighten? I’m finding the “brightness and contrast” to somewhat wash out the image. I’ve also tried increasing the brightness of the white balance effect.

What do you recommend?
