    Probably so if you’re working with FX and various layers, speed changes, etc. But don’t forget Quickview mode, and don’t forget to select just the portion you want to render in the time line, render it, and check out your work from there rather than rendering the entire thing every time.

    You’re probably going to get the results you want by just keeping it simple and using the color corrector 3 way. That in conjunction with some blend modes should give you some nice, street looks. Then perhaps play with some of the “Time” effects filters, such as strobe.

    Sometimes it’s just a matter of saving, quitting out of FCP, and re-launching the project file. Make sure auto save vault is set to something more frequent than every 30 minutes. I have mine set to every 5 minutes.

    It is advisable to work with multiple duplicates of your sequence. This way, you can easily revert back to a previous version. I disagree with the statement that Final Cut is limited in this regard. If you learn a proper workflow you will avoid the lost time in applying filters hastily and having to then remove them.
