Now this is really strange. When I clicked on the link on the dialogue box “Learn more about updating Libraries” the Update All button is now available. I clicked, and it appears to be updating.

I tried that – as directed, but the folders are greyed out still. Do the folders have to be on the original drive they were on?

Correction: The other option is to Locate, but that appears to be looking for a SAN location
Should read:
Click Locate to manually create a library for a specific hard disk, folder, or SAN location.
Clicking gives the error: The current selection is not valid. Choose another SAN location or folder.

Thanks Jeremy, but unfortunately it didn’t work. I get a dialogue box:
In Final Cut Pro 10.1 and later, projects and events are contained in a library.
• Click Update All to create a new library for the projects and events on each connected hard disk.
• Click Locate to manually create a library for a specific hard disk, folder, or SAN location.Update All is greyed out. The other option is to Locate, but that appears to be looking for a SAN location. The old Event is also greyed out. 🙁

I was able to upgrade my standalone version of Lightroom to v.5 a few months ago without having to open a CC account. Looks like Adobe changed the rules of their game. Again.

I’ve had good results with DH_SubtitleX by Digital Heaven $29.99 plugin.

You do have to do the work. It works as a Title in FCP X. You have to do the transcription, then enter the text directly into DH_SubtitleX. Timing has to be set visually and manually, but it works nicely.
