    Because mx matrox mxo2 hasnt a 1080 25p Codec only 24p….

    Thanks and greetings

    Thanks for your answers

After Effects interprets every thing correctly. The drag new composition works as well. The Problem is fcp
It interprets that wrong. I ll change the field dominance of none for my progressive project.

Thanks a lot for your advice.

    Thank you for the answers

It does fit properly with HDV 1080 the bos shows the HDV /DVCpro 720 an it looks fine. By dragging the footage to make new comp I has exact these settings.

I thougth It has something to do with my interlaced / progressive problem in fcp. It always shows odd frame dominance . So I think ae exports interlaced.

The odd framerate dominance disappears when I use Prores 422 Lt. But When I use the same settings with Prores 422 hq it is an odd dominance.

But the Lt has a bigger compression I dont want that because I dont want to lose quality before I make the color grading.

    I dont know why

Can some body affirm following conclusions???????????

    1. The dvc pro hd 1080i25p is also a PsF???? That records 50i(50 frames) and produces a twin of 2 compensating halfframes???

2.And interlaced 1080i 50i records every individual halfframe???

    3. I use a mxo2 Le, output with Sdi and a FSI reference Monitor. Is it possible to judge by eye if it is progressive or interlaced???? If I dont see every second horizontal line in motion blurr, so am I 100 percent sure that Im using progressive? And causes no problems on big screen?????

    4. In final cut pro when i change the dominance of halframes to none, I see no difference. What actually is this option for?????

    greetings from a swiss cow

    5. Is it possible that fcp interprets footage in a wrong way when it comes from a third party application like after effects?????????

    Thanks

I concern about the resolution the fsi has 1366×768. And my footage is 1440×1080. Does it make a big deal?
Is it hard to calibrate them??
Or can I use the Mxo2 calibration tool for that reason???

Hello guys Im a cow from Switzerland. Ive finished my first short about 12 minutes. Now Im very concerned about my color grading. After long hesitation. I purchased a mxo2 le with sdi.
Now I dont know which monitor I should buy. I ve read many nights in forums like this (its the really best of all), but I dont understand every technical detail so I need advice from the pro s.

    Footage: DvcproHD 1080i25p

    TV Logic LVM-240W (G) used 3.8k

    JVC DT-V24L3 used 3.5k

    FSI LM-1770W I like the 12 different Scopes 2.8k

BON BPM-170LS I dont find opinions or threats in the net of this monitors 2.9k

My budget is about 3.5k max 4k. I need a reference to match the color of the footage. We shot on different days….

    Thanks for ADVICE
