July 1, 2016 at 7:29 pm in reply to: Upgrading to Vegas 13 ?

BruceUSA posted information to a thread in the Vegas Pro SCS forum, “TimL .. It is outright buy of Vegas Pro 13 and will receive free upgrade of Vegas 14. I took advantage of this offer and I bought it. They did not ask for a serial number of previous version of Vegas Pro. ”

Here is the link, it’s about the 20th post…..

    Hi Aleksey,

Eric Dettman represents Magix and is, I’m sure, monitoring this and other threads.

    Hi Ken,

This is pretty easy, go to magix.com, bottom of home page listed under ‘ABOUT MAGIX’ then ‘Company Info’ > ‘Locations’ Then pick your contact location Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Canada, or USA. There you have phone numbers, email address (no account necessary) and mailing addresses. Complete contact information listed just as I would expect from a company conducting international sales and service. What else could you expect?

You used the word ‘we’ in ‘your’ assumption about the upgrade from current Vegas Pro 13 users, which certainly didn’t come from Magix, as yet.

You are wrong about the price reference, you are wrong about the email contact information, and you are wrong about them being a middleman!

I think Steve Rhoden is correct when stating, “Your post is filled with many gross misinformation Ken“.

Nonetheless you still have a right not to have a warm and fuzzy feeling. As time passes perhaps you will change your feelings and be more positive.

    Hi Ron,

I’m not familiar with the HV40 or HF G20, but you may be able to connect something like an Atomos Ninja Star to your HV40 if you like the quality it produces. The Atomos Ninja Star records in up to ProRes 422 HQ and takes CFast cards, runs about $295 USD. Just a thought to breath a little life into your current camera for a reasonable upgrade cost.

Hi Adam, you are certainly welcome, glad I could help out in a small way…

  • Hi Wayne, I’m happy I could pay it back in a small way, I have learned so much from your post and appreciate reading your expereinces and suggestions.

    Best Regards……..George,

  • Wayne’s method will also work by placing the mouse pointer above the top track, in the area that loop regions and markers appear, although if you are pointing in a loop region or lined up with a marker (pointer turns to a hand) then it will not work, has to be in the blank area.

    Hi Adam,

On the tool bar below the timeline you should see an Auto Ripple option icon that looks like this if Auto Ripple is turned On….

It should look like this when Auto Ripple is turn Off…….

The little down arrow menu will present the Auto Ripple options that look like this………

    Hope this helps a bit…..

    Best Regards…..George

  • Hi Adam,
