Hi David,

What are you referring to when you say, “Is there a way to make the envelope nodes larger”, as, what is an ‘envelope node’?

If you are referring to the thumbnail in the media bins, then ‘Ctrl’+center wheel will enlarge or shrink their size.

If you are referring to the thumbnail on a track, then enlarging the height of the track, then ‘center wheel’ will enlarge the thumbnail at the cost of real estate available on the timeline for displaying tracks.

It’s the same amount of steps to select Pan & Crop, them right click and then select Match Output Aspect, as it is to select a preset, so making a preset doesn’t save time using the Pan & Crop, but you can copy and then paste attributes to many other events you have on various tracks in the timeline and if you have more than a couple events to modify that would then save you some time.

How are you manually making these adjustments?

Probably the quickest and easiest way is to put all the clips on the same track. Then make your manual adjustments to frame as you wish (full frame) using using track motion, then save those adjustment to a preset. In the next project with those vertical clips, again put them on the same track, then bring up Track Motion, select your saved preset, bam….done! Quick and easy after you have made your first adjustment and saved it to use over and over again in the future.

It’s going to be difficult for a plug-in to determine how much camera movement (in your case shake) that is acceptable and make automatic marker placements. Your camera shake may be unintentional, mine may be on purpose or acceptable. I have never seen or heard of a plugin like this and doubt there is anything like it available. If it were, it would be math intensive putting a huge amount of labor on the CPU and GPU and I imagine it would be on the expensive side.

I didn’t see any benefit of DVDA 6 over the version 5 I got with VP13, so for me I don’t need anything more than DVDA version 5. On the other hand, I haven’t burned a DVD or Bluray in over 2 years. Everything I view for home entertainment I put on a thumb drive and play it on the flat screen.

If I’m going to render a delivery to online internet or to show on a flat screen, I shoot in 1080 60p (US) and delivery in 1080 60p. Most of my stuff has some kind of action scenes, which I think look smoother if shot and viewed at 60p (50p).

I tested Version 16 latest build 307 and it still has that problem. Mine will load up 50 at a time, and except for the flicker part, acts exactly as yours does.
