Ok. What is the default setting then for ingest? Does the data always import natively? This dropdown box is confusing as it does not indicate the 170.

My question had more to do with outputting QT files.
Either in Prores 422
or
DVC PRO HD

The file sizes are considerably different though the imagery looks similar. Is this like the JPG/TIFF situation with stills?

Appreciate the clarification.

With the fact that the footage is importing at full quality, does it make sense to capture at Apple Pro Res 422 or keep things native (DVCHD 720 24p). Much confusion about this as well. I did some tests and the data transfer is different. Did not notice quality difference though.
