What codec does your media use? If it is DVCProHD (DV100) then your problem may be due to a glitch in Avid’s codec. There is a thread about it in Avid’s forum https://www.avid.com/exchange/forums/thread/139627.aspx
You could try downloading Avid’s latest codec package and see if it makes your problem go away.

I would still prefer a simple upgrade. I have been using Encore ever since it came out, thinking they would eventually get it stable. Now I feel like I have bet on the wrong horse.

So there is no simple way to upgrade from 2.0 standalone? I use Avid and have absolutely no use for Premiere.

I might add that if you are doing color work, you need a simple, color-neutral environment. The first thing I do with a new space is give it a couple of coats of matte paint that has been color matched to an 18% gray card. The lights in the room should be selected for color temperature and CRI, and it is also a good idea to have a white card nearby for additional reference. It looks boring as hell, but works great for editing.

Having to buy an upgrade to get a bug fix (the clicking problem you mentioned when the audio source is 48kbps) is one of the reasons I am not sticking with Sorenson. If you need to create .flv files, on2 makes a pretty good standalone product.

Also, make sure in your Media Creation settings that you are not filtering drives based on resolution.
Erik, why do you say that 1394 is preferable to USB? I have found that USB is just as fast, a lot more reliable, and less expensive to buy/build.

I was having the same issue. I was trying to stop interval recording by pressing the red start/stop button. I could never get it to stop, and always ended up powering down the camera.
In the manual it’s a little cryptic. It says to press the [it shows a wedge-shaped icon with a square dot in the middle] among the operation buttons. I guess what that means is the little button next to the MENU button on the top of the camera, and not the other red start/stop button on the top of the handle.
Cool! I look forward to trying it!

It turns out that even though commissions are huge on the really high end properties, many real estate agents seem to be stuck with a tight, penny-pinching mindset. Therefore most video real estate tours you see are formulaic because they need to be produced inexpensively.
When we were asked to make videos for a couple of luxury homes, we were lucky enough to be approached by a more progressive thinking realtor. We treated it like any corporate video. Rather than just show a walkthrough of a pricey house or make an anatomically correct video brochure, we wrote a script designed to promote the home to the target audience.
You can see the videos by selecting “FILM” on the following sites:
https://legendaryestate.com/
https://historicestate.com/They look pretty hashed up due to the compression, but they are absolutely stunning on a large plasma screen.
