I understand that for some productions there is no good idea to have a function for deleting multiple catalogs, But the way we use CatDV it would be a nice feature.

We mostly use CatDV for logging purpose, using the Verbatim logger and exporting XML to FCP.
We create one catalog for each source of raw material (XDCAM, SXS, CF cards and so on) After the production has finalized their season we delete the raw material keeping only the program master.
Since CatDV links to the raw material there is no use for those catalog files anymore.
We have used CatDV on every production for some years now and we have about 4000 catalogs I’d like to clean up.

I’ve got this export to work!
Don’t exactly what made it work but I installed some new updates from Sony and suddenly it worked!
    Here’s my setup:

    Sony XDCAM Transfer v2.1.13.0
    MacFAM Driver v2.3.2
    XDCAM Drive Software 3.0

    Final Cut Pro sequence settings:

    General tab:
QuickTime Video Settings, Compressor: XDCAM HD4221080i50
Audio Setting, Rate: 48 kHz, Depth: 24 bit, Config: Descrete Channels

    Audio Outputs tab:
    Dual Mono

Then I used the Export Sony XDCAM tool.

I’ve searched the web for answers to this question about exporting to XDCAM with U1 deck. As I have understood from my readings the only way to play the clip after exporting to XDCAM is by mounting the disc and play it from the computer…
So you can use this workflow for archiving.

    Thanks!

Is there a way to refresh the thumbnails for files that are already imported into a catalog?
This is for the files with the same thumbnail picture that are already logged and so on.

Is it possible to not just print 1 clip at a time, but rather print all the clips in the catalog as one PDF or print. I’d like it to be one continuous document with all the clips, not one clip summary on one A4 page.

    Thanks!

We where hoping to edit and grade it with the same codec, but I understand that it will take up a lot of space. Understanding what you say we’ll go for an offline workflow.

    Thanks!
    This page setup looks better.
Is it possible to choose what info to print in this summery?
I have tried to change around the settings in the customize detail panel, but that don’t seem to change anything in the clip summary??

I’d like to print only the Name, Notes and/or event markers
basically I would like to choose what information to print with the clip summary. Is that possible?

I also see that the clip summary only works with one clip at a time. I would prefer to be able to mark all the clips in one catalog and print them at the same time with the clip summary function, as I do today with the print HTML formatted function.

Has there been any progress in the HTML printing.
I see that you put a HTML summary in the details panel.
Is there a way to only print the HTML summary so that you can choose the font size and so on?
