Put your water video on track one.
Put your text on track two.Change the compositing mode of track one to Custom and add the Height Map. Make track two a compositing child of track one.

Unlikely that it would be there, but AFAIK, the vob files are not segmented to correlate to the different bits of media on the disc.

Anything that it’s seeing as part of the project should show up in the Project Overview window. Just delete it from there.

One note of caution: You should always keep your .veg files, or at least copies of them, in a seperate place than your media, preferably on a different physical device.
This way you can always recapture your video to recreate your project as long as you have the tapes available.

To elaborate a bit… you CAN drop the vob files into DVDA, but you will have to use special software to extract the audio.

VOB actually. Do a forum search for vob or importing DVDs into Vegas This comes up every 5 minutes or so.

Create a velocity envelope and at the point where you have it set to zero, line that up at 00:18:23. A marker may help you get the alignment just right.
