Video Glitches
I’ve captured my material, and there are digital-looking glitches every so often. On average, there’s about one every 3 minutes – although they are very random and their location differs each time I capture the same footage. It’s not the tape (this happens with all tapes). I’m using Vegas 5 on a new dual-Xeon system – (so the problem is not an under-powered machine). I’m using a Sony deck and I’ve turned off preview during capture. Any other suggestions?

My first suggestion is to clean your tape heads.
