That’s why you can still boot Snow Leopard. I think the idea in question was installing Snow Leopard on a Mac that originally came installed with either Lion or Mountain Lion.

I have the same Mac you do (17″ Early 2011) and I’ve easily gone back and forth between Snow Leopard, Lion, and Mountain Lion (though settled on ML…working very well for me).

What year are your MacBook Pros? Did they originally come installed with Lion? (Late 2011 and onwards).

I’m happy enough with the current feature set for the most part, but there are most definitely bugs that should be fixed in a 10.0.9 release that should have been out last month.

What about all the “App Store will allow for quicker updating!” nonsense that was spewed when FCPX first came out? It’s not like there still aren’t some bugs that need quashing at least. I still have to restart occasionally because FCPX suddenly refuses to playback the timeline for instance.

That’s fair. Most of my file upkeep is done upfront in prep (Premiere doesn’t copy media after all, which can be nice when you have a organization solution that keeps an entire project in a single folder that you can easily move around outside of the app). So the media already resides where it’s going to be at in Premiere, and all I have to do is use Media Browser to import it, then I can start tagging clips.

You might have to explain this further, because if you are suggesting that ingesting clips and assigning keywords to them happen simultaneously, that is not correct.

Except I did the transcodes in 5DtoRGB, so apparently that will not work.
