  • [Dave Gage] “Anyone have any experience with either or both? I have a rusty old Windows XP laptop I need to bring out once a year or so to run a single Windows-only program for my websites. It would be great to dispense with Windows and this laptop once and for all. I don’t have any interest in messing with emulation programs for this one chore (i.e Parallels or Fusion), but this “packaging” option would be cool if it works.”

It depends on what you’re trying to run exactly. I would imagine certain software would be more successful than others.

[Neil Goodman] “We get it, you have a hard on for FCPX and Apple can do no wrong, all those that oppose are idiots. Anything else?”

I think you forgot that he works for Showtime on their pilots doing super important top-secret stuff.

[Rick Lang] ” Try a counter-punch of “Be the best you can be.” Hopefully you’ll be blessed with either clients with a better perspective, you just better clients.”

I’ve decided to go with, “If it’s worth doing in the first place, it should be worth doing right.”

Your QFMFT is facile. It says “I know the truth and THIS is it.””

Funny you go after me because I agreed with it, but not the original sentiment itself.

I cause producers so much consternation because I try to ask for material to get as close back to the original source as possible.

“Well, we have this rendered MPEG-2 file you can use.”

    No.

    But it’s so fun!

[Phil Hoppes] ” That means Amazon’s sold close to 600 TV’s at $40K a pop!. Holy crap. That’s 24 million in just that model of TV. Yikes!!!”

Except pretty much all of those reviews are fake so the numbers are probably much, much lower.
