What’s the difference between that and having to pay a one-time fee to get a month’s access to it?

Cineform is wrapped in an AVI container on the Windows platform, and thus won’t suffer from that issue. Apparently Canopus does so as well.

Frankly, I’d be surprised if we don’t see a touchscreen Mac is this next update cycle. Why else are they “iOS”-ifying OSX?
