When did you download the DNxHD codecs? Avid made some adjustments to the codec a couple of versions back.

[Zevie Tannenbaum] “Funny that you found that post, its mine ;)”
Yes I know. I was hoping you would read Dave’s response again.None of your posts mention anything about codecs. I think that’s the disconnect here. Do a little research on codecs and your battles with retaining quality will become less troublesome.
Once you learn about codecs go back and read Dave’s post again.

I’m not familiar with AdTec. I have a couple of Brightsign players. Brightsign includes an authoring app so users can customize the playlist themselves. Many digital signage companies update the content as a service. Content creators upload their media to an ftp site, the service provider does the authoring and then downloads the new playlists to the devices over IP. For clarification on wether you can author the content yourself you should contact Adtec directly.

December 27, 2010 at 3:28 pm in reply to: Title quality difference and global size differenceYes, experitment with using the modifier keys when dragging the effect icon to a bin. Different behavior for different types of clips. For example, if you alt drag an effect on a regular clip it will include the source media. This can be a real time saver in certain situations.
You can also drop a saved effect onto a single parameter in the effect editor to only change that parameter. For example, if you wanted to change the color of a border on a 3D warp effect without changing the position, scale or any other parameter. You would drag and drop a saved effect onto the border controls in the effect editor. Experitment with this as well.

From the effect editor, hold down the alt key (option on the Mac) and drag the effect icon into a bin.
The name of the effect in the bin should include the text: (without source).
Now apply this saved effect onto the other titles. This will change the effect parameters only and not the title itself. -

You’re wrong. You can set the interpretation to lower field first or upper field first. -
[Michael Kammes] “My example above is a cable television show on a network – not some homebrew edit. “
I wouldn’t use Current TV as a reference point. They accept just about anything from anybody that has spent the time to hack it together and upload the video. Current TV is like open mic night at the comedy club – anybody can have their show on TV. It’s time to change the channel and raise the bar.
