Hi Mark. Finally I’ve returned to this after some time. I have now got Slice X and have fiddled around with it for over 5hrs now and can’t seem to get anything close to what I need. Would you have some tips, or a workflow for me? Much appreciated.

Yes, Noah. That’s me. Instead I’ll use another studio or bring some green spray paint next time. They seemed to have dismissed my request to fix it with, ‘just stand infront of it’, and, ‘you can fix it in post if you need to’. I’m new to green screen work. I’m an outdoor natural light kind of guy. Thanks for the link.

Thanks Nick. Do I need to compress the audio? I’m not trying to get a smaller file. I’d like to leave it as is unless I really need to.

John, just compressed it to 6Mbits/sec and it comes out looking grainy. I’m happy with the look of the 3.30Mbits/secs. Would that be Ok or is it too slow?

Thanks Noah. Yes, I am in Proxy. Will re-edit the mask in full res and see if that helps.

Thanks Rob. So I take it there isn’t any (or not much) difference between the two formats in quality. I’ll stick to the 25fps then if that’s the case.

Thanks heaps for your help and will by that book you mentioned.

    all the best,

    Hi Rob,

One more question please? I had a test shoot today and am happy with results but I’m confused as to which format I should be shooting. The D7K has two high quality options: 1920×1080 @ 24fps and 1280×720 @ 25fps.

As I’m in a PAL country 25fps is normal. BUT, will the 1080 format give be a better quality image for the projection onto the screen? I just put a 1080 24fps shot through FCP and it converted to 25 well. It actually moves smoother than the 720 clip I shot of the same thing! Will I be wasting my time converting 24 to 25 or should I just stick to the 720 option?

Just to clarify I can’t change the frame rate from one to the other.

    Thanks heaps.
