That works. It appears I may have checked “all markers” (or whatever it says in the QT export window out of FCP). I will use the “DVDSP markers” drop down from now on. It appears the export of those markers, even though I think of them as chapters, appear in the DVDSP timeline as the word “marker”. I guess I won’t let that bother me.

That was my suspicion. This is the first time someone gave me DVD source material that I actually had to archive/restore. Great. Thanks for the heads up. Gary

Upgrade was by disc.

however, in the meantime…

I figured out what it was…firmware update to the external drive.
All is well again…until the next thing!

YUV in/out playback/record is what I have showing in my settings. 422 connection is correct. I work in 8-bit uncompressed-SD quality is fine for what I work on. I use a PVW 2800, UVW 1800 and a DSR 45.
The canvas, as much as I can tell, jumps as the monitor does. The problem looks like sync-but I don’t think that’s what it is.

The setup is : Computer-AJA-composite out to a DA-to waveform(magni)-then to the monitor.
