I’ve never had anyone ask me for bars and tone — and yet I use them all the time. They’re my go-to “in-between” blips for gag and blooper reels. Of all the ridiculous applications…and yet I go to them all the time.

“quazillion answers” is kind of the problem. I found a ton of threads on synching but none with my exact problem.

I actually don’t even mind if I have to convert the 96K to 48 at this point but how do I do this? I tried doing it with Soundtrack Pro but it didn’t fix the synch issue. Someone else said to change the timecode signature – any advice how to do this? Probably my search-fu needs work but I couldn’t find help on this subject either.

Thanks for any help, sorry for the noobish questions.

The Easy Setup solution worked perfectly – I was experiencing the same issue but it’s now totally handled. Thanks!

Newer Macs, unfortunately, do not come with the Express slot, so yes, you have to get the new $350 one. The old external adaptor that plugs into the Express slot is also incompatible with Snow Leopard, so even if you have an older laptop, if you upgraded your OS it will be incompatible. This happened to me 🙁

This is really great – extremely helpful. However, I’m not sure I’ve totally got what you’re saying right as regards the lower layer and the effect to achieve there. Basically I’m still getting some green “bleed” on the edges of my subject and your explanation sounds like that shouldn’t be there. Do you have this posted anywhere in greater detail? Maybe a walkthrough somewhere?
