Possible, I guess. But why did only FCP stop recognising it as a DV file, and why did it happen mid-edit? QT Player, MPEG Streamclip and VLC all still played the clip normally, and all reported it as a standard DV-PAL file.
It’s probably just one of those things, and it’ll never happen again.

Try applying the Quantize parameter behaviour to the global position parameter. That can make the motion appear more “steppy”.

Use the Adjust Glyph tool.
As you say, you can’t selectively adjust characters using Sequence Text. It will always affect all the characters. All you can do is change the order in which it affects all the characters.

Thanks Mark. I’ve barely touched Photoshop in years, and I only ever did very basic stuff with it back then, but presumably there’s a specific process for using it to convert a clipping path to an alpha channel?

Aha, I see what you’re doing. I’m animating the line with a write-on, you’re animating it by moving it from out of frame. I didn’t think to use the Position parameter! Cheers for that 🙂

Many thanks for that Simon, but I’m still on Motion 4, so unfortunately it won’t open.
Can you explain how you’re getting each individual line in each group to draw on with different timings? Is it a replicator parameter that doesn’t exist in Motion 4?

I’m playing around with the Snow Blizzard one at the moment, but it’s just too smooth. The particles need to have a much more realistic random motion, to look like they’re really being whipped around by a strong wind. I’m not sure how to achieve that, or if it’s even possible in Motion without ponying up for an expensive particle plugin.
