Use avidemux,
You simply render your audio track, open avidemux and replace the audio channel with the new audio track, export settings as copy.

Hi Stephen,
I’m with you all the way, copy pasting pan/crop defined styles into present media events is a huge time saver.
What remains to bee seen is a batch replace for font styles, since they don’t change as the rest of the event attributes.
And most importantly a keyboard shortcut to insert text media where the cursor is and start typing right away. Not to mention having a font style preset enabled by default.

Steve, your input has been truly helpful, I think I will end buying the large softbox since I will probably do full body shots or something near that 🙂

Thanks Steve, will a larger softbox be better to mimic the effect of the large window?
What do you think of this? https://goo.gl/lSVm9t I doesn’t specify wattage but since it’s continuous lighting for photography I assume is bright enough.

Thanks for the informative responses. I found a portable preamp (iRigPre) that is inteded for IOS devices and has been reported to work with my DSLR.
I will still need some adapter cable as you mentioned to get the mono audio correctly but it’s definitely worth a go since it’s quite inexpensive!
