the full res rendering thing is still a mystery to me …

at my office i have Lion 10.3 and i have hard time to render even in HD but having R3D set at full rez (even resetting PRAM)

at home i have Lion 10.3 and it render like charm , there must be something else involved in that issue ..

Rohit and Peter both said that 3GB is minimum to Have a smooth session on 4K timeline (and 2 or more
Card are suggested )

I had problems with 3x GTX470 when I tried to render out a movie at 4K
Resolution …

As stated many times by BMD ,
2 x GTX580 3GB Ram are the minimum requirement to work on a 4K timeline

You probably tried only 1 shot to get those performance (and honestly those performance seem a bit to optimistic for a GTX 285)

did you have a chance to see it properly ? (dark room etc…)

to me it really is the only LCD with deep blacks , but that looks soft , and the possibility to change colorspaces on the fly is amazing ,

i have seem many around at NAB and i was not that impressed , than i had a demo (still NAB) in light controlled room and i have to say that looked the yes i ever seen

+ i stem only monitor that cover P3 space for real DCP delivery work

probably the directory set up for the stills gallery has been changed or removed (so it cannot find the source (still file )

the dolby the by far the BEST monitor i ever seen .

I thought that with the decklink 4K card is possible feed XYZ (but only Linux?)

ps: if your work is rec 709 , there no really need to feed XYZ

damn …i just ordered one as well …

so , david you think that in resolve will perform less ?

any way you can run a little test for us on the regular 580 (but that have your full speed mod ) , using the candle test maybe ?

It’s all about what the software (used for the conversion )expect / or what is capable of / or the way is set up …

There is no 1 way to do it , it’s about understanding how it works and about knowing what the software used is capable of .
