Ok got it right! Removed the rubber eye piece and delicately reassembled the whole thing… now aligned

I have exactly the same problem! It is nearly impossible to get the 16×9 mask aligned with the camera, as it does not rotate separately…

Thanks Adam, I also had another confirmation that C4D is the way to go. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction – now for those tutorials…
