I’ll agree with the gentleman from Adobe that CS5 does much better with MP4 files. My Sony EX3 files were causing CS4 to simply stop on a regular basis.

A second note and no one mentioned it so it may not be relevant, but I’ve had CODEC updates cause me problems. I have DIVX on my editing computer and one update caused me about an hour’s grief before I discovered it had changed some type recognitions.
