[Borjis] Thats what resolution dvcpro-hd is and 1280×1080 for 1080i.
I found that rather odd when I imported those same MXF files into an Avid (as a test comparison) and was given a format size of 1280×720. Do you know what this could be about?
[Borjis] Nest the HD sequence into an SD sequence.
I tried that, however I received an error stating: cannot nest sequences of different timebases. I searched for a setting to add pulldown, but came up empty handed. My current sequence setting for the project is 960×720 at 23.98 with DVCProHD 720p60 compressor.
[Borjis] for #3 I would not upgrade in the middle of a project unless you have a cloned system drive that you can go back immediately to should you have a problem. Can you not layback to tape from the avid then capture the footage in fcp?
No cloned system, so I agree not to upgrade until the project is completed. Laying to tape would be the simple answer, however the decks I have access to do not have firewire out and I do not have AJA box.
Thanks for helping me out here.
