Expect a “critical update” in the not-too-distant future.

“You’d think that they’d test these things before they just sling updates out into the field.”

They’re probably just following the trend set by Microsoft.

Sorry, I should add that both sites are now working for me. Good job getting the problems sorted.

“CustomEffects Installer is designed for AE CS2 and CS3.
Are you using it with those versions?”

According to your site, the Pixel Sampler is for CS3 only. Correct me if I’m wrong, but as far as I know, there never was an After Effects CS2.

As long as it’s in sync when rendered, I don’t see what the problem is. You won’t be showing this to your client by doing a RAM preview in AE.

By the way, are you using the zero key (on the numpad) to play a RAM preview, or simply using the spacebar? If you’re using the spacebar, that’s where you’re going wrong.

Andrew, I may have to watch your latest tutes over and over until Monday, so I don’t get withdrawal symptoms.

I just finished shooting some footage so I could follow along with your Time Freeze tutorial. Waiting a week to try it is gonna be murder.

I really gotta get me a life.

Tried a “tracert 74.50.5.130” (IP obtained from unsuccessful ping attempt).
It goes 10 hops then just keeps timing out.
The last hop that responds is “cut-lunarpages.marquisnet.com [208.65.158.130]”
An ARIN WhoIs search shows that “74.50.5.130” belongs to “ADDD2NET COM INC DBA LUNARPAGES”.

Therefore, I am able to get to the hosts primary servers, but not the final server (74.50.5.130).

If I tracert http://www.videocopilot9.com I get the same result.

However, if I tracert http://www.videocopilot10.net (where the latest tutorials are hosted) the tracert completes at 74.50.6.175.

I can also ping http://www.videocopilot10.net successfully.

I have no problem viewing these latest tutorials.

There is nothing in my hosts file blocking the site, nor does my router block it.

I’d really like to get this sorted out, because there is some great content in the tutorials that I can’t view.

    Hmmm, strange.
I’ve tried with both Firefox and I.E., on two different computers, with the same results.
Checked all router settings, and found nothing out of the ordinary.
I’ve only had this problem since Andrew did his server upgrade.
Video Copilot is the only site that I’ve noticed any problems with.
Considering all the above, it’s reasonable to assume a problem at the server end.
