Is there something wrong with this tutorial? It doesnot seem to play all the way through but about 2/3s and then blink, and there only seems to be a part I. Where is part II?

Just watched it — again — and it played through fine for me.

Part two is coming. It’s not up yet, however part two is available as a podcast and you can watch it right now if you want to find it there.

I can get the tutorial to play fine. The podcast of the same tutorial has serious playback problems on my system (mac) with QT7.2. I’ve looked on the Apple QT forum at apple and there are a bunch of folks having trouble with mp4 files and playback.

Yes, Apple is having issues. Unfortunately, we aren’t about to re-record all our podcasts to make it work for them and so they can fix it — or not.

You’d think that they’d test these things before they just sling updates out into the field.

    Best regards,

They’re probably just following the trend set by Microsoft.

Skewered someone’s sacred cow, did we?

My point was merely that Apple claims to be both the “plug & play” as well as graphics/design/creative leader. I guess I expect more out of them.

Microsoft can afford to be sloppy — they’ve got 95% of world’s market. When you have the “token few,” you have to do it better, especially in one of your core markets.

    With skewer firmly in hand,

Found a fix to my problem. Re loaded flip for mac player which is free from microsoft!

Also https://perian.org/ has a swiss army knife for QT that seems to work very well.

    Now everything is running fine.

    “free from microsoft”

Expect a “critical update” in the not-too-distant future.
